Portraits are an endless source of fascination. Behind this charm lies the instinctive desire of a person to be curious about the face and discover the personality of its owner. For the artist, drawing his face is an ideal way to immortalize himself; for me, the self-portrait is a way to immortalize all the sufferings, pains, wounds and failures that the circumstances and ironically the dominant thinking have imposed on me. I am trying to create a memorial for myself by recording it.
